It is in the constant state of wearing down the day it drives off the dealership lot, just like tires or brake pads. Without a healthy thick clearcoat, your paint finish is completely compromised and will disintegrate the layers underneath all the way down to metal. Keeping it healthy and thick is the answer to a paint finish that will last forever.

Clearcoat is only so thick. It only has so much build to it. It is taking damage every single day. We replace our motor oil, build our tire tread back up, make sure our brake pads are thick all while our clearcoat is thinning and deteriorating every single day. And we try to repair and beautify our paint finish by making things worse by cutting it down through traditional polishing and detailing methods. Although temporarily getting a fresh clean surface, it was at the expense of thinning the clearcoat. Clearcoat is the most important layer of your paint finish. Paint correction is the art of freshening up the paints clearcoat layer. So technically, yes, but we use more advanced, innovative techniques than traditional paint correction methods. We recommend full-vehicle coverage for ultimate protection, but you can also opt for a frontend clip (bumper, hood, front fenders) combined with Resin Film on the rest of the car.

Sky Shield is a Paint Protection Supershield (PPS) that has far superior advantages over traditional Paint Protection Film (PPF) and is an additional painted surface over top of your original paint, but it is not a coating that wears off, but a new paint layer that can be peeled off at any time, fully protecting your paint underneath.
